It is set to be another blustery day with the Met Office issuing a further weather warning for strong winds.

The yellow warning will remain in place across parts of north east Wales – including Wrexham – and across England until 1pm this afternoon.

Stronger gusts are expected throughout the morning and it’s set to remain windy for most of the day.

Today’s weather warning is one of several to have been issued in recent days due to Storm Gareth.

The Met Office says: “Strong winds are expected through Thursday, with a short period of particularly gusty conditions across parts of northern England early in the morning, moving southeastwards across other parts of England by late morning.

“Gusts of 45-55 mph are likely, perhaps as much as 60-65 mph very briefly in a few places, accompanied by a short burst of heavy rain.

“Winds easing a little during the afternoon, though remaining gusty.”
