Fresh Appeal Over A495 Fatal Collision

Police are appealing for the driver of a car who may have information about a fatal road traffic collision on the Wrexham Shropshire border last month to contact them.

At 10.55pm on Thursday October 30th silver Vauxhall Corsa travelling in the direction of Welshampton and Ellesmere on the A495 was in collision with a tree.

The two local occupants, Philip Madden 19 and Shane Vickers 22, died as a result of the collision.

Sgt Alun Davies said; “As a result of our investigations we are keen to speak to the driver and any passengers in a car we believe may have been travelling a short distance behind the Corsa and which would have continued in the direction of Welshampton and Ellesmere in the moments after the collision.”
