Freeze Hits Bin Collections

Wrexham Council have had difficulties emptying some green bins as the lids have been frozen shut during this very cold spell.

They say “Rounds are continuing but some green bins will not be emptied. Household waste bins are unaffected. The Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.”

One resident told us “We have seen this in the past as the leaves are wet and freeze solid”. Others took to twitter to say:
