Free Workshop Space For Local Creatives at Wrexham’s Independent Gallery

An independent gallery in Wrexham is offering free workshop space for creatives across the area.

The Wrexham Independent Gallery, which is located in the former cafe in the People’s Market, launched in summer 2016 offering display and exhibition space for both professional and amateur artists, crafters and artisans in the Wrexham area.

Since its launch the gallery has celebrated the opening of its first exhibition of work featuring local artists, taken part in the Great Wrexham Bake Off and created a giant pumpkin with members of the public for the upcoming Halloween Street Festival!

As part of the next stage of the gallery’s expansion, a workshop area consisting of five tables and a dozen or so chairs which can be used by local creatives. There is also a separate studio area for a single artist. The old Kitchen area can be used for storage and larger projects.

For a short introductory period the gallery are offering free access to both areas.

The facility will also be available for established artist members to hold formal workshops.
