Free swimming sessions for women at a local leisure centre have been announced as part of the ‘Get Out, Get Active’ project.

As part of the initiative the Active Wrexham team is supporting a series of women-only (16+) free swimming sessions at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre, Acrefair.

All abilities are welcome, and the sessions are fully inclusive. They provide a great opportunity to start swimming, and build your confidence in a safe, ladies-only session.

The swim sessions are available both morning and evening, every Monday and Thursday until July 25th.

Cllr Andrew Atkinson, lead member for youth services and anti-poverty, with responsibility for Leisure, said: “Swimming is an excellent way to both get fit and stay fit, and these sessions will be a great opportunity for any women who might not have considered it before to try it out.”

The sessions are limited – so it’s best to book early. To book, get in touch with Plas Madoc Leisure Centre on 01978 821600.
