Free Shuttle Bus For Upcoming Tour of Britain

A free shuttle bus transporting visitors from car parks to the main Tour of Britain event will be available this weekend.

Arriva Buses, in partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council, has agreed to run a Sapphire Double Decker bus on Sunday 6th September between the hours of 11am to 1pm with return journey times of 16:30pm and 17:30pm.

For the outward journey, the service will pick-up from the gates of the Council’s Housing Department layby, then via Ruthin Road – Bradley Road – Central Road – Mold Road – Regent Street and drop off at the Bus Station layby next to Set The Bar on Lord Street.

The service will then return to the Council’s Housing Department via Mold Road, Berse Road, Crosenewydd Road to Ruthin Road.

Cllr David A. Bithell, Lead Member for Transport and the Environment said: “I am pleased that Arriva Buses and Wrexham Council have been able to work together to provide this free bus service supporting Tour of Britain. I would like to pay thanks in particular to Arriva Bus Wales in providing their services free of charge to help support the local economy in Wrexham on this very special day for the town and local residents.”

We have recently invested in new and refurbished buses for our Network Wrexham services and more than 90% of our Wrexham fleet is now fitted with free wifi on board.”
