Free gig and day of activities planned to celebrate Welsh Language Music Day!
Live entertainment, family activities and a screening of the Six Nations will take place in town on Saturday to celebrate Welsh Language Music Day.
Organised in collaboration between FOCUS Wales, Tŷ Pawb, Urdd Fflint a Wrecsam and Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam the event will kick off in Tŷ Pawb from 11am.
Welsh Language Music Day (Dydd Miwsig Cymru) celebrates all forms of Welsh Language music. Whether you’re into indie, rock, punk, funk, folk, electronica, hip-hop or anything else, there’s incredible music being made in the Welsh language for you to discover.
To celebrate the event a series of activities, workshops, entertainment and music will take place in Tŷ Pawb for people of all ages to enjoy.
Between 11am and 3pm there will be bilingual family events, including:
– Composition Workshop with Elis Derby – Free
– Saturday Art Club – Dydd Miwsig Cymru Theme – £2 per child
– Parti Magi Ann
– Gweithdy Flogio / Vlogging Workshop – Free
– Welsh themed face painting – £1
– Film Screening: Anorac (2018) – Free
At 4:45pm Wales v Italy in the Six Nations Rugby will be shown on the big screen in Tŷ Pawb .
Kicking off at 6:45pm will be a free gig which will bring together a fantastic line-up for a great evening of entertainment.

Cllr Hugh Jones, Lead Member for Communities, Partnerships, Public Protection and Community Safety said, “This is the fourth Welsh Language Music Day and it’s a day to celebrate Welsh language music in all shapes and forms.
“Here in Wrexham we will be celebrating with a fantastic day of activities and entertainment in Tŷ Pawb and I would encourage everyone to come and celebrate Welsh language music.”
