Police have announced four youths have been charged with arson following a fire in Plas Madoc a month ago.

Police say: “Four youths aged between 14 and 16 have been charged with arson following a fire at the Splash Magic Leisure Centre in Plas Madoc, Acrefair on October 4th.”

“The youths have been bailed to appear before  a youth court at a later date.”

Back on October 4th Wrexham.com reported that Splash Magic Leisure Centre, formally Plas Madoc in Acrefair had been set alight, with several fire crews called to tackle the blaze.

As a result of the fire the community run leisure centre was left with external damage, which was contained to one area of the building.
