Plans have been submitted to Wrexham Council to convert the old Subway store on High Street in Wrexham town centre into a new restaurant.

Developers explain, “We intend to change the use of this unit from what was a Subway fast food establishment to a Moroccan theme/style authentic bar and restaurant”

The creation of a ‘roof terrace’ is mentioned in the brief planning application, with extra work detailed, “Construction of further iron railings in compliance with current safety standards around the glazed skylight and any exposed or unsafe areas surrounding the roof space”

The 665 square foot unit has been derelict since Subway left, and appears to have recently been successfully marketed by estate agents Legat Owen.

Councillors will consider the proposals at a Planning Committee at a future date.
