Drivers are experiencing rush hour delays on Ruthin Road on the way up to Coedpoeth after heavy rain caused drains to overflow flooding the road.

Road users reported a nasty smell thought to be sewage which has merged with the flood water.

Nigel Silcock tweeted us to say: “Ruthin road flooded 1/4 mile from Coedpoeth. Take care, traffic backing up.”

Chris Lewis who sent in the above picture added: “Sewage / Drains problems on Ruthin Road up to Coedpoeth. Water everywhere, and it stinks!!”

Traffic has already started building up a quarter of a mile outside Coedpoeth and is expected to get worse as rush hour continues.
