Flood Alert For River Dee
A flood alert is in place for the River Dee, including areas around Farndon.
The Environment Agency warning reads: “Heavy rainfall has fallen over the Dee catchment throughout the day. Rivers are reacting and will continue to rise this evening and into the early hours of the morning. We will continue to monitor and will update this message as the situation develops.”
Alerts are in place from Upper Dee Valley from Llanuwchllyn to Llangollen including Corwen, Lower Dee Valley from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows and The River Dee Catchment in England from Whitchurch to Chester.
The shaded areas in the picture above show the potential extent of flooding, with people told to ‘flooding is possible, be prepared’.
