The fire service have been attending the Morrisons petrol station forecourt this afternoon just off Ruthin Road.

Sam told us just after 3pm: “Fire brigade currently at Morrisons petrol station dealing with a car spewing out some nasty smelling white smoke”

Kev sent us the top picture of the scene just after 4pm with a water spray cooling the side of the Nissan Micra, with the smoke dissipated.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that crews were called to the supermarket on Ruthin Road at 2:52pm this afternoon following reports that a car was leaking fuel.

The owner of the car later said: “The LPG tank exploded on me and it’s pouring gas all over the place….it went off in my hands so got a few chemical burns but I’m all good”
