Santa will be arriving in Wrexham this Saturday (7th) and will travel around the town centre on a sleigh pulled by reindeer.

Leaving Lambpit Street at 11.30am, the sleigh will go across Queens Square, pass under the Argyl Arch, turn left onto Hope Street, left onto High Street and then left again onto Chester Street as he arrives at the Peoples Market.

There will be traditional fairground stalls and rides outside the People’s Market and Santa’s reindeer will be on view until 3.30pm, at which time they have to go back to their stables to be fed.

Santa is looking forward to welcoming children to his wonderful new Grotto inside the People’s Market. It will be open from 12 until 4.30pm on Saturday 7 December and then every day from Monday 8 December until Christmas Eve. Tickets cost £4.50.

Remember this year you can visit Father Christmas in the People’s Market on Chester Street rather than Queens Sq as per previous years.

  • Saturday 7 December – 12.00 noon – 4.30pm
  • Monday – Friday – 11.00am – 4.00pm
  • Thursday 12 and 19 December late night until 7pm
  • Saturday – 10.30am – 4.30pm
  • Sunday 15 and 22 December – 11.00am – 3.00pm
  • Christmas Eve – 10.00am – 12.00 noon

The Victorian Christmas Market returns this year, on Thursday 12 December, 12 noon – 8pm on Church Street and St Giles’ Church.

The event will see 70 stalls selling toys, candles, jewellery, books, cards, crafts, Christmas decorations, freshly cut trees, plants, pottery, local produce, freshly cooked Welshcakes, mulled wine, hot chestnuts and lot, lots more.

Last year the event had around 10,000 attendees and was an excellent evening so make sure you pop down!
