Football supporters across the town have shown their support for Wrexham FC in the form of giant good luck cards, ahead of the team’s game against Stoke next month.

Over the past few weeks good luck cards have been visiting locations across the town, with people sending their good luck wishes to Wrexham FC as they prepare for the FA Cup game against Premier League Stoke on January 4th.

The cards will be presented to the club today ahead of their home game against Forest Green – assuming the game gets the go ahead after a pitch inspection after the recent bout of bad weather! Today’s game is OFF so this is likely to happen at the next home game.

The cards were launched in the town at presentations in the Guildhall and outside the Co-op on Lord Street on December 17th.

Wrexham FC Manager Kevin Wilkin, Assistant Manager Gary Mills, the Mayor and pupils of Wat’s Dyke Primary School were all in attendance to show their support for Wrexham FC at the launch.

The Good Luck card initiative has been organised by The Co-Operative and Wrexham Council, with the Co-op being the lead corporate champion supporting the ‘Healthy High Streets’ campaign.

The Healthy High Streets came to Wrexham after a successful grant and is well under way in the Town Centre.

“We are all extremely proud that our local club has reached the FA Cup Third Round and we wish them well in their build up and on the day of the game.”
