Family Pay Tribute to Motorcyclist Who Died Following Fatal RTC

The family of a man who died following a serious collision in Overton yesterday have paid tribute to a ‘passionate and experienced motorcyclist’.

Motorcyclist 42-year-old James Evans died following a collision on the A539 yesterday.

His family have paid the following tribute to the 42-year-old who was from the Penycae area of Wrexham.

In a statement today, his family say: “James was the eldest of seven children and he was currently working as a fitter/welder on a project in Ellesmere.

“He was a passionate and experienced motorcyclist, starting in motocross when he was just eleven years old.

“He will be sadly missed by his father, brothers, sister and close family members for his character and sense of humour. Anyone who knew him knew there was never a dull moment around James.”

The family are now requesting privacy at this very difficult time.

Police investigations are continuing into the two vehicle collision which happened shortly before 7.40am on the A539 road at Overton close to the Cross Foxes Public House, Erbistock, yesterday (Friday 28th August 2015).
