“False alarm” at Wrexham gym – smoke caused by nearby car

Reports of a fire at a town centre gym this afternoon were a false alarm.

There were reports that the fire alarms at the gym were going off and that there was an incident at the building at around 6pm.

A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said that it was a false alarm and that the smoke had been caused by a vehicle outside.
