Members of the public will have the chance to explore some of Wrexham’s most historical and interesting sites for free this weekend.

As part of the ‘Open Doors’ programme, Chirk Castle, Erddig Hall, St Mary’s Church (Ruabon) and Ceiriog Memorial Institute will be open to the public on Saturday 8th September.

Later in the month Bersham Colliery Engine House (30th September) and the Clwyd Family History Society Resource Centre (22nd September) will also open to the public for free as part of the scheme.

Open Doors – a Wales-wide programme of events co-ordinated by CADW – offers free access to a variety of buildings, heritage sites, and events of all kinds during September.
