Emergency services attend house fire in Wrexham

Emergency services are currently in attendance at a property in Wrexham due to a house fire.

Update: Following the fire a man has been taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital in a stable condition.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the property on Hampson Avenue – near Whitegate Road – shortly before 11am this morning.

Two crews were called to the scene, with one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus used to extinguish the blaze.

The road has since been cordoned off by North Wales Police and two fire engines and two ambulances are at the scene.

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at shortly before 11am to reports of a fire at an address on Hampson Avenue, Wrexham.

“A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a crew in an emergency ambulance are at the scene.”
