Elderly Pedestrian Hit by Car Near Rhosnesni Shops

An elderly man has been taken to hospital following a collision in Wrexham earlier this afternoon.

Shortly before 1pm emergency services were called to a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle between Park Avenue and Rhosnesni Lane.

An elderly male has since been taken to hospital however his injuries are not thought to be serious.

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 12.48pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Rhosnesni Lane in Wrexham.

“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car to the scene, and an elderly man was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital for a check-up.”
