Early Morning Vehicle Fire Affects Water Supplies For Residents

An arson attack on a car just outside of Wrexham has resulted in discoloured and aerated water supplies for some residents.

Earlier this morning a number of people living in Hope and the surrounding areas got in touch with Wrexham.com to say that they had been experiencing issues with their water supplies, with brown water running from their taps.

The water issues have been caused as a result of a fire near Sarn Lane, Hope in the early hours of this morning.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed that one crew from Wrexham were called to a vehicle fire on Llwyn Alun, Hope at 5:36am this morning.

A blue Ford Focus vehicle, which had been left on a driveway was deliberately set alight and resulted in damage to the whole vehicle.

Two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera were used to extinguish the blaze.
