There’s a spooky treat in store for all horror film fans this Halloween with Wrexham playing host to its first Scarefest drive-in cinema.

The event, organised by This is Wrexham Council and the Wrexham Council Events Team, will take place at the Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse on Sunday 29th October.

Kicking off the event will be a Halloween classic for all the family, Hocus Pocus, which will be screened at 4pm.

Then from 8pm, it’s over 18s only with the event taking on a ‘Scarefest’ theme, which will also a feature a screening of Nightmare on Elm Street.

The two films were chosen by a public vote which was held on the This is Wrexham Facebook page earlier this week.

For fans of Christmas classics the drive-in cinema will also host it’s first festive screening at Waterworld Car Park on December 3rd. More details about the films and times will be unveiled in the next few weeks – so watch this space!

The two upcoming spooky and festive events follow on from the successful Valentine’s Day and summer cinemas which took place earlier this year.

Tickets for the Halloween event are £15 per car and will go on sale to This is Wrexham Card holders on Monday 25th September at the Tourist Information Centre. General sale tickets can be purchased from Monday 2nd October from the same outlet or via the This is Wrexham website.

We’ve partnered up with the team at This is Wrexham to offer one lucky car (and it’s passengers) front row tickets for the Halloween Scarefest!

You must be 18 years old or over to enter the competition and must be available to attend the event at 8pm on Sunday October 29th. Anyone under the age of 18 will not be allowed entry, so don’t waste your time :D

Rules Of Entry:

– Wrexham.com’s decision is final in all entries & no correspondence will be entered into.
– Winner will be selected at random.
– One entry per person please, we will just discount doubles!
