Local dancers are being offered the chance to perform at the Rugby League World Cup 2013.

Dance groups from across the county borough are being invited to perform in front of thousands at the Racecourse when the town hosts two matches at the Rugby League World Cup 2013.

Over 150 performers are being needed to perform at Wrexham’s two matches, Wales vs. USA on Sunday November 3rd and the Quarter Final between the winners of Groups A & D on Saturday November 16.

Lynn Hoare, Dance Engagement Co-ordinator for Wales said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for dance groups of all abilities. The performance, choreographed by Jeannefer Jean Charles in London will be taught by our dance practitioners to groups in Bristol, London, Wales and the North West, to be performed at opening ceremonies and matches across England and Wales. Participants will have a free ticket to the match and also enjoy discounted tickets for friends and family.

“The commitment is to learn a short dance routine during 10 x 2 hour or 6 x 2.5 hour rehearsal sessions (within the group’s regular meeting schedule and space), a mass rehearsal and a dress rehearsal on the day of the match”. All dancers must be aged 10 or over.”

Tickets for both games at The Racecourse are available online at http://www.rlwc2013.com/tickets, in person at the Glyndwr University box-office or by calling the Rugby League World Cup ticket hotline on 0844 847 2013.

There’s also a double ticket offer available which means you can be at both matches in Wrexham for as little as £15.
