The first floor of a Wrexham home has been left with significant damage following a fire this evening.

Earlier this evening Wrexham.com reported that fire crews had been called to a house fire on Connor Crescent, Hightown.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at 7:09pm – with two crews from Wrexham and one from Llangollen attending the incident.

Two hose reel jets and seven breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the blaze – along with small tools and two thermal imaging cameras.

Further information of the fire has since been provided, with a spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirming that a bedroom has been left with 50% damage (25% heat and 25% smoke) as a result of the blaze.

The first floor of the property has also been left with 75% smoke damage.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the blaze.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and is currently under investigation.
