Crowds gathered in Wrexham town centre this morning to commemorate Armistice Day.

Led by the Mayor of Wrexham, Cllr Rob Walsh, the ceremony at Queen’s Square saw hundreds turn out to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Wrexham Council’s Chief Executive also attended for the civic event.

The air raid siren sounded for two minutes at 11am, marking the moment World War One ended. Yesterday also saw large crowds turnout for the service of remembrance   at Bodhyfryd.
