Update: The road has since reopened.

Original information below:

A van is on its side, with the westbound carriageway of Industrial Estate link road closed this afternoon.

Muckaway tweeted Wrexham.com the above picture, saying: “Accident at industrial link road police in attendance but road closed avoid area if possible”.

David Jones added, “Van on it’s side and lorry blocking the exit he can’t go as I think he may be involved in the incident”

The industrial estate incident is causing delays on surrounding roads.

Further up the A534 to the east there has been a serious incident. Cheshire Fire and Rescue have said, “We are currently dealing with a serious collision involving a HGV and a car on Wrexham Road in Burland, near Nantwich.”

Two women are trapped inside the car and firefighters are working to remove the casualties.

“Be aware road closures are in place on the A534 Wrexham Road, Burland following a collision at the junction with Long Lane – Please avoid the area.”
