Counterfeit currency warning following reports of fake £20 notes in circulation in area

Local traders and residents are being advised to be aware of counterfeit currency currently in circulation in parts of Wrexham.

NWP Eastern Community Safety say it has been made aware of fake £20 notes being circulated in the Chirk and New Broughton areas.

Anyone with any further information is being urged to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number W077968.

Any local premises or residents who are concerned are advised to visit the Bank of England Website where there is further information on counterfeit money and what to look out for.
