Councils Planning Stats Released
Tonight sees the usual meeting of the Council’s planning committee, to consider applications put before them. For those interested you can read the full PDF here on the council’s site of planned business, which includes The Hand in Chirk changing use as we reported on here.
At the meeting the quarterly statistics of how the council processes planning applications will also be presented, giving the breakdown from July to September this year of type and speed of application processing.
The stats show that in the four areas stated with targets all four are over target:

April-June 2012 showed:

The stats also say how many, and what percentage, of applications are granted or refused. Currently for 2012 the breakdown is:
- 86% (155) of applications in July-September were granted.
- 90% (172) of applications in April-June were granted.
- 92% (142) of applications in January-March were granted.
Looking at the figures, out of 108 applications heard at Committee during the three periods noted above only 13 were refused – a figure of 12%.
