Wrexham Council have promised that pathways at the crematorium will be fixed, with complaints dating back nearly a year and a half.

A Wrexham.com reader got in touch with the above pictures of the pathways at the Pentrebychan Crematorium, saying: “I have contacted wrexham council about the state of the footpaths down to the lily pond area several times to be fobbed off with ‘its being dealt with’, with initial contact said to be around 18 months ago.

The reader added: “My grandma is a wheel chair user and is unable to get down to the lily pond to pay respects to her late husband due to the state of the path. It is disgusting and very upsetting.”

Wrexham Council told Wrexham.com that it is aware of the problem with the footpath which was ‘first reported last year’.

The Council say a contractor has been appointed but ‘repairs can only be made at certain times of the year and we are currently awaiting confirmation that the works can start’.
