‘Cops win 1-0’ as wanted man detained

Three police cars descended on Brewery Place this afternoon to assist a police officer after a brief foot chase.

Two marked and one unmarked car pulled into Brewery Place at 4:20pm, just off Brook Street close to the Island Green stairs.

Inspector Paul Wycherley‏ tweeted us to explain the activity, saying: “Foot patrol officer Brook Street spotted male we have been after for while.”

“Foot chase then he joins us for tea.”

Inspector Wycherley added: “Cops win 1-0”.
