David C Hill, writer and comic book artist, was recently in Wrexham for a convention. Wrexham.com grabbed the chance to talk to him about his time in the town. He said that he enjoyed the convention, which he felt was “organised very well” and would “highly recommend” the Lemon Tree, where he stayed and hopes to return next year. For him, the highlight of the convention was “chatting to Robert Llewellyn and Frazer Hines – and meeting new people.” He was also impressed by the town’s “vast array of shops” despite not having much time to look around.

His feedback is the latest in a string of positive comments from visitors to the convention, with many taking to Twitter to praise the town. Wrexham.com spoke last week to American Pie star Thom Nicholas, who was equally impressed by his four days, paying compliments to the “friendly staff” at the Holt Lodge and the Marston’s Inn.

We hope to see David back in Wrexham next year for another convention appearance.
