Clwyd South MP highlights work of charities at National Eisteddfod

The MP for Clwyd South spoken at a meeting that brought together Welsh charities at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in Llanrwst.

Susan Elan Jones MP, who co-chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group for Charities and Volunteering, commented: “When the Wales Council for Voluntary Action asked me if I’d address a group of charities at the Eisteddfod, I was delighted to accept.

“We had a very good discussion and considered a lot of different things including how charities budget, the recruitment of trustees and the charity tax system”.

Ruth Marks, Chief Executive of the Wales Council for Voluntary Action, added: “It was great to have Susan Elan Jones with us; she is a great champion for charities and volunteering in Wales.”
