Two businesses look set to move into empty properties and set up shop in Wrexham Town Centre.

In two separate applications submitted to Wrexham Council it is proposed that a clothing store and a Letting Agents move into adjoining properties on the High Street in the town centre.

The first application has been submitted by Reid Roberts Estate & Letting Agents for a change of use to Six High Street from A1 (Retail) to A2 (Financial and Provisional Services).

Previously the property housed the former ‘Just Tea and Coffee’ store, which closed and partially relocated earlier this year.

In an accompanying Design and Access Statement it is noted: “Reids Roberts Estate & Letting Agents are taking a new lease of six High Street in order to provide new premises for meeting with applicants and clients.

“It is intended to use the ground floor premises for meetings with prospective purchasers and clients. The first floor premises are to be used for office accommodation.”

The document goes onto add that the property has been chosen due to its presence on the High Street and proximity to the town centre.

The application for a business to move onto the High Street is the second of its kind in the past few months, with Chevron Clothing also applying to relocate to Five High Street – next door to Chatwins.

Previously the property was used as a public house – however has remained vacant for several years.
