The closing date to apply for one of six voluntary roles at Wrexham’s new multi-million pound arts and market facility has been extended.

Earlier this month Wrexham.com reported that Wrexham Council were looking to recruit six people to sit on the Tŷ Pawb advisory board.

The board, which has been described as ‘key’ in shaping the future Tŷ Pawb, aims to bring together stakeholders and people of a wide range of expertise which Wrexham Council believe necessary to support and underpin work of project

It will also regularly monitor and review all areas Tŷ Pawb throughout the year, reporting on the progress of the centre and making recommendations to the Council’s Executive Board.

Applications for the job were due to close on Monday 26th February, however the date has now been extended to Friday 2nd March.

The six voluntary areas cover Arts Programme Development, through to Marketing & Communications and Governance & Legal roles – all requiring relevant professional experience.

In the job spec Wrexham Council say: “We’re looking for six roles as part of the Tŷ Pawb advisory board. These roles will be key in supporting the identification of priorities and development of future strategy for Tŷ Pawb.

“As each of the six roles is within a specialist area, we’re looking for someone who can provide experience and technical advice to maximise the operational success of the arts space, market, business premises and car park to achieve the TŷPawb business plan.”

A spokesperson for Wrexham Council said: “Having been alerted to the fact that some earlier versions of the advert went out without a closing date; we have extended the deadline until the end of the week to prevent anyone being inconvenienced.”

There are just over four weeks left until Dydd Llun Pawb – the official opening of Tŷ Pawb on April 2nd / Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

A soft launch of the £4.5 million facility is expected to take place on March 26th.

More information about the six voluntary advisory board roles and what they entail, can be found on the Wrexham Council website.
