Fans of Wales Comic Con received an early Christmas present last night after organisers confirmed the event will return to Wrexham this December.

The popular event, which brings together some of the biggest names in film, television, wrestling, gaming and of course comics, will return to Wrexham Glyndwr University on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December.

It will be the event’s second event of the year, with thousands turning out in force for a weekend of sci-fi and sunshine back in April 2017.

Wales Comic Con organiser Jaime Milner: “After hosting our most successful event to date earlier this year we simply had to bring back another slice of geeky action to Glyndwr University once again this year, a little later than usual we plan to sprinkle some Christmas magic at Comic Con this December as we come home to Wrexham once again.”

Now in its ninth year, Wales Comic Con has become a firm fixture in Wrexham’s event calendar – attracting thousands to the town for its two annual events.

Since its launch the event has brought some of the biggest names in film and television to Wrexham, including Jonathan Ross, Buffy’s Nicholas Brendon and the Incredible Hulk himself, Lou Ferrigno.

It’s a busy year for the organisers, who are also launching their new event, Fanatic Expo in Harrogate on September 2nd and 3rd.
