The ‘holiday’s are coming’ and this year Wrexham will be visited by a festive favourite.

Earlier this morning Wrexham Council tweeted to confirm that his year the iconic Coca Cola Truck will visit Wrexham on its travels across the country.

On Friday December 5th the truck will be parked in Queens Square between midday – 8pm.

The event will take place just weeks after the Wrexham Christmas Light Switch on – meaning the town centre will also be lit up to help increase that festive feeling!

Today’s announcement was met with a large response online, with many taking to Facebook to voice their excitement. However many also raised concerns on the traffic management in and out of the town centre, following the road chaos that ensued when the truck visited Broughton last year.

Last year the Coca Cola truck parked up at Broughton Retail Park – causing traffic chaos on the A483 from Rossett all the way A55 northbound.

The event resulted in some people being stuck in traffic for several hours, with many not making it to the retail park in time to see the Coca Cola truck.

We will update this page with more details on the event as and when we have them.
