Chirk Castle Closed Tomorrow Due to ‘Storm Doris’

Chirk Castle have announced they will be closed on Thursday 23rd February due to Storm Doris.

Both the castle and surrounding estate will be closed due to the high winds forecast throughout tomorrow.

Details posted on the Chirk Castle / National Trust website, state: “The many veteran trees next to paths and roadways pose a danger of falling branches in high winds.”

It is hoped the castle will be open as normal on Friday 24th February.

The Met Office are currently forecasting winds of up to 70mph in some parts of the Wales, with heavy rain also expected to hit the area tomorrow.

An amber weather warning is currently in place from 6am tomorrow morning until 6pm in the evening.
