A child was taken to hospital this afternoon following reports he had been injured at a store in Wrexham.

Earlier this afternoon there were reports of emergency services activity in the car park at the Aldi store on Plas Coch.

A spokeswoman for Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.53pm to reports a child was injured at ALDI in Wrexham. We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and a High Dependency Service vehicle to the scene, and the child (a male) was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

“His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.”
