The main front window of the Cancer Research shop on Hope Street has been left with significant damage after it was smashed at some point over the weekend.

When we popped down the shop shortly after 11am, the window was being taped up to prevent any further damage.

The incident has caused quite a big hole in the window, with part of the window left without any glass and the remainder left cracked.

One shopper told Wrexham.com that the window wasn’t shatter proof and wondered why anyone would do such damage to any property.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed to Wrexham.com that they had received a call earlier this morning with reports that the window had been broken.

The window has since been boarded up, however the shop remains open for business.
