Charity Dinner Raises Over £7,500 for North East Wales Hospices

A recent Charity Dinner held by Coleg Cambria has raised over £7,500 for North East Wales Hospices.

The annual dinner, which was hosted by Principal and Chief Executive David Jones, was attended by over 200 people. This year the money that was raised will be donated to Nightingale House Hospice, St. Kentigern and Hope House.

The event, which took place earlier this month, also featured an appearance from, guest speaker, Dean Saunders entertained guests with stories from his football career.

The fund-raising dinner was followed by a raffle and auction of prizes donated from organisations including Skye Marquees Ltd, The Port of Mostyn Ltd, St.Kentigern, Nightingale House, Hope House/Ty Gobaith, Maria’s Pictures and Coleg Cambria.

Coleg Cambria Principal and Chief Executive, David Jones said: “We are very pleased that over £7,000 was raised for the North East Wales hospices at our annual charity dinner. It was a great team effort, with staff and students from across our sites all involved in the planning and organisation, persuading companies to attend and donate, catering and hospitality, fund raising, and even managing the sound system at the event. It was an excellent evening, and bringing together the collective resources and talents of Coleg Cambria made it better than ever.”

Alison Marsh from Hope House said: “We are delighted with the fantastic response to Coleg Cambria’s Principals Dinner and thank everyone involved for their kind support of Hope House Children’s Hospices.”
