Central Station Team Launch New Music Venue

The team behind Central Station in Wrexham have launched a brand new live music venue in Chester.

Formerly the comedy club, ‘The Laugh Inn’, the team behind ‘Central Station’ and ‘The Compass’ will turn the building into ‘Live Rooms’, a brand new multi-room live music venue in the heart of the city.

Over the the next six weeks to turn the former Comedy Club into a multi- room venue, which will accommodate 650 in the main room, with an balcony and VIP area’s, and 300 in the smaller room.

Central Station and The Compass general manager Aled Owens said: “When the opportunity arose for us to expand to a large venue, it was a simple decision to make. I felt that with the buzzing scene in Chester with great places all around for live music.

“Plus the added Chester Rocks event and great variety of Theatre and Music in Grosvenor Park, the timing was perfect for this size venue to open and bring some named touring acts to the city on a regular basis. We will be bringing a variety of styles of music for all ages”

The venue opens officially on October 17 with a special performance from indie band, The View.

Also booked to perform at the venue is Martha Reeves, who will be at the Live Rooms on December 7 Martha Reeves.

There are many more acts to be announced, along with a variety of different genre club nights launching soon. For those that still fancy a giggle Live Rooms will also be continuing with regular comedy nights too.
