Cefn Road Closed After Evening RTC

Two people were taken to hospital after a car over turned on the Cefn Road yesterday evening.

A 30-year-old man and 14-year-old girl were both taken to hospital as a result of the incident that took place near Five Fords.

Fire crews assisted paramedics in removing the two patients from the vehicle.

Both patients sustained injuries. The girl was taken to hospital with a head injury and was complaining of abdomen and back pain.

The 30-year-old man had pain in his ribs and his back.

Last night a number of people contacted us regarding police activity that appeared to be around Caia and on the industrial estate. There had also been reports of road closures.

One said that they saw three police cars on site, along with the police helicopter hovering very low. Others saw emergency services attending the area.

Original Story: Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision near the Wrexham Industrial Estate earlier this evening, which closed a road for the evening.

The RTC took place earlier this evening on Cefn Road, near Five Fords around 9:15pm.

A number of people contacted us regarding police activity that appeared to be around Caia and on the industrial estate. There had also been reports of road closures.

One said that they saw three police cars on site, along with the police helicopter hovering very low. Others saw emergency services attending the area.

It is currently unknown how many vehicles were involved in the incident.

The Police Helicopter team based in Hawarden confirmed they attended the area just before 10pm saying: “Assist North Wales Police Wrexham area following a road traffic collision.

“Rural area lit up to assist 3 x casualties being rescued.”
