CCTV images issued as elderly man and woman targeted by “professional pickpockets’ in town

North Wales Police have issued the above images after ‘professional pickpockets’ targeted people in Wrexham town centre.

Officers investigating pickpocketing incidents in Hope Street and Regent Street today where two elderly victims were targeted, would like to speak to the people pictured.

An elderly man and woman have been targeted in separate incidents today, with police saying that “large sums” of money were stolen.

PC Thomas Hough said: “Several reports of pick pocketing in the @wrexham town centre this afternoon, officers have been out and in the process of obtaining CCTV and accounts.

“Please be aware and keep your property secure this time of year, don’t become a target for thieves.”

Police are also urging shoppers to keep their bags closed and wallets / purses out of sight.
