Earlier today we reported how the fire service had been busy overnight, and we have been to the latest vehicle arson victim.

Speaking to local residents the fire service arrived promptly in the early hours, with a ‘brief’ appearance from the police. Wrexham.com was told that neighbours alerted the family to the fire, so those inside the house were able to escape any danger. The intense fire scorched the side of the house itself.

Another resident told us how he heard a ‘loud bang that got my attention’ and heard that there was a gas canister near the caravan however the fire service moved it before it exploded.

Two cars were also badly damaged, highly likely written off, in the arson attack.

Police forensic teams attended this morning, however Wrexham.com was told that no other police had been which had ‘amazed’ the residents we had spoken to.

This time last week we were reporting on a car torched in Caia Park, the week before that, another van torched in Wrexham. Several other vehicle arsons have occurred in a similar area, prompting one resident to voice his concerns to us at the time saying “It is becoming a regular thing and almost predictable”.
