A carol service hosted by the emergency services in North Wales has more than £400 for a much needed cause.

Hundreds of people turned out for the service at St Asaph Cathedral where there were performances from Northop Silver Band, Denbighshire Youth Choir and soloist Dafydd Jones.

Proceeds from the service, which was jointly hosted by the Welsh Ambulance Service, North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, will go to the Wales Air Ambulance charity.

Wales Air Ambulance is an all-Wales charity providing emergency air cover for those who face life-threatening illness or injury.

Lynne Garlick, the charity’s fundraising manager for North Wales, said: “We would like to thank everyone that attended this wonderful concert; it was a truly festive occasion.

“The close bond we share as an emergency services family is clearly reflected by this event.

“We thank our emergency services colleagues for supporting us and wish them a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”

Visit the Wales Air Ambulance website for more information about the charity.
