Bricks were scattered flying after a car hit the side of Halfords bike store in Wrexham this evening.

The crash which took place after 7pm appears to have caused structural damage to the side of the building with severe damage to the car. The road is currently closed as the car is being recovered.

The black Chrysler also took off the door of a black Ford as a woman opened the driver side door before hitting the wall.

Ambulance crews checked over both drivers at the scene and a middle aged woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

We are told that two young children were also in the cars.

Wrexham.com was having a nice meal at the Anise, so we popped over and took these videos (and met Wrexham.com twitter follower @LilDeeStudios ) :

FotoFire Ltd sent in the pictures above and below of the aftermath.

Members of the public and staff at Halfords looked on in shock in the aftermath of the collision.
