Car ‘explodes’ in Central Retail Park car park

UPDATE: A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said:

We attended a small vehicle fire on Regent St – called at 11.58hrs, one appliance in attendance.

“A male casualty was conveyed to hospital via ambulance.

“Stop was called at 12.40.”

UPDATE: A spokesperson North Wales Police said:”We received a call at 11.55am reporting a vehicle explosion at the Central Retail Park in Wrexham.

“We are currently in attendance assisting our colleagues from NWFRS.”

NWP Wrexham Town have also tweeted to say: “We would like to ally any concerns & assure you that the explosion in Wrexham Town earlier this afternoon is an isolated accident & no persons have been injured.

Emergency services are responding to Central Retail Park this lunchtime after a vehicle ‘exploded’.

Police and the fire service are at the scene.
