Car Destroyed In Fire In Llay

A car fire caused traffic problems around the cross roads in Llay.

Claire sent us the below picture of the car on fire by Crown public house on the cross roads in Llay near the Straight Mile.

Traffic surrounding the area have stopped while emergency services deal with the incident.

One crew from from Wrexham was sent to the incident and two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the flames.

Phill sent us the top and below pictures, including the smoke that was visible from the industrial estate:

We are currently unable to get further details from the fire service, who did confirm their attendance at the incident.

Joe also sent us this photo of the fire being extinguished.

1:30pm Update:
We have been told that the fire is out, and the driver safely escaped the vehicle and took refuge in the pub!
