‘Burst Pipe’ Leaves Homes Across Wrexham Without Water

A number of homes across Wrexham are expected to be without water for a few hours due to a ‘mains burst this morning’

Reports of a ‘serious mains burst’ on Old Wrexham Road, Gresford was reported earlier this morning, leaving homes in Marford, Borras and Gresford with low pressure or no water.

The burst mains has since been isolated, however Dee Valley Water are advising that some residents in the Old Wrexham Road area may be without water until the repair is carried out in a few hours.

A statement on the Dee Valley Water website: “Supplies in the Gresford,Marford and Borras area (other than the ones affected by the repair) should have their supplies restored shortly,but the water supply may well be discoloured,if this happens please run it off at your cold kitchen tap until it runs clear.

“Please again accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
