A burst main has left a number of homes across Wrexham without water this morning.

Issues with water supplies across parts of Gwersyllt were first reported shortly after 7am this morning.

Dee Valley Water has confirmed that their engineers are repairing a burst water main which is affecting homes in Gwersyllt – particularly those living in Bickerton Drive, Philips Road, Wheatsheaf Lane and the surrounding areas.

It is thought the repair work will take around five to six hours to complete.

Details on the Dee Valley Water website, say: “As a result of the mains repair you may have discoloured water after the repair is complete, please run you cold kitchen supply until it clears.

“Dee Valley Water will minimise the disruption to our customers as much as possible, we thank you for your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
