Plans have been submitted to convert a vacant retail unit on Eagles Meadow shopping centre into a bureau de change.

The application submitted to Wrexham Council is in relation to unit D18, which is located next to Greggs / bridge at the entrance of the shopping centre.

The unit has been vacant for several months, having previously been occupied by a mobile phone shop specialising in repairs and selling phone and tablet accessories.

Details within the planning document state that the business is expected to be operating from November 1st 2017 to 31st October 2022.

It is expected that the business would create two full-time jobs if planning permission is granted.

Two additional applications have also been submitted in past week, seeking permission for the installation of signage and also an ATM.

The application is expected to be considered for approval at a later date.
